Default Interesting Skill Combos

I often change my build around or alter it in some way for every mission I do (which drives my wife crazy heh) and am always trying to find new skill combinations that work well together. As well as my own ideas I steal ideas from various sources, including on gw guru forums, and wondered if anyone has any for Mesmers that I haven't come across or thought of before.

I'm NOT after full builds, and they don't have to be for ultra effective, perfected builds as I'm after fun when I play a game too as well as effectiveness (I love messing about with SOI ). I'm just after interesting combos to try out and to have other ideas to add in for area specific builds.

Signet of Illusions is one of the few skills in the game that has untapped potential. Not really a combo, but you could monk with it.

If I get REALLY bored.

I'll run fevered dreams with level 1 paragon chants and barbed spear at 9 spear mastery.

The chants last 1 second (weariness, flame) and barbed bleeds which activates the daze, and Lol, yknow.

There's also the old smiting signet mes with holy wrath and SoH, using signet of removal as a party aide

the most fun combo I had with my mesmer isn't really effective but well...

use mark of rodgort (fire magic should be as high as it can get before the 1 burning goes to 2) + a fire axe/sword + fragility gives gives 2 times fragility's damage in 1.33 seconds:P + unremovable burning. you could get in fevered dreams as fragility is buffed in PvE.

P.S. sorry for the bad english

A really fun one is a mesmer hero with Fragility, and you with Barrage, conjure flame, and Mark of Rodgort @7 fire. At 7 fire, it lasts 2 seconds, so it does 28 more damage per foe plus fragility, another 38, and 12 more for the conjure for 78 damage plus your base barrage damage. Don't use this with an IAS though.

Go Me/N, take Lyssa's Aura + Necrosis as well as some hexes conditions. If you get your char leveled up in the SS rank, you can pump out a lot of damage quite easily that way.

discord+necrosis spam (especially with discord
way setup) and using either some necro hexes/conditions yourself or on heroes is always a fun spamfest.

Signet of illusions with inspired hex/enchant and arcane thievery/larceny is a fun combo

use foes spells/hexes against them and buff your party with some nice enchants! it's not always fun, best to check which foes you will be up against first so you know which skills you can potentially steal. :P

Enchanter's Conundrum was a lot of fun to mess with until they updated the damage to come at the beginning of the cast instead of when the hex ended.

The problem is things die before you can really lay down a 3-4 skill combo in pve. In pvp, there are a lot of fun builds to use because you have more time...

Phantom pain + shatter delusion is a fun combo.

Aneurysm alone is fun. it does serious damage to pve elementals and almost all casters in Hard Mode.

i take arcane thievery with me. monsters only have 3-4 skills, so using that shuts down 1/4 of their skill bar. Take the right one and the boss is very simple.

sorry, most of those are just one skill.

My absolutely favourite combo:
Assassin's Promise + Blackout.

You AP a foe that is close to dying and you Blackout a foe that is not.
When the foe under AP dies, it causes AP to recharge all your skills - even if they were just disabled by Blackout.

The foe stays Blackouted for the duration of the skill, you get your skills back under 5 secs.

No it's not, you read it wrong. A Mesmer hero carries Fragility, and then your character, an E/R or R/E carries Barrage and Fire spells.

I use Aneurysm with Esurge and energy draining energy management. A good +250 there sometimes and you can even do it to a necromancer if you time it right.

Frustration and attack interrupting skills (clumsiness, signet of clumsiness) add up nicely.

Another fun set of combos for a mesmer:
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Arcane_Languor
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Wastrel%27s_Worry
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Aneurysm
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Chaos_Storm

Cast Arcane Langour, then spam Wastrel's Worry so that the foe is forced to cast, and once their exhaustion is at epic levels, spam Aneurysm (Assume a foe has 70 energy, 60 of which is lost due to exhaustion. That foe is now at 0 energy. Using Aneurysm, that foe gains 70 energy, takes 210 damage, but exhaustion stops 60 of that energy gain from going into the bar. Fun, no?) until dead.

Chaos storm just speeds things up.

Couple of good ideas there that I'll have to try. I forgot to mention that I'm mainly PvE cept for when I'm in an evil mood and want to irritate some human players.

All you're doing is putting two good skills together. Not a combo.

Well (s)he was using WW to power Necrosis, so yeah..that IS a combo.

All be it a small 1-2 hit, the same as AP+blackout, frustration+clumsiness or Ether nightmare+cop.

If Necrosis and WW is a combo, then Prot Spirit and Dwayna's Kiss is a combo?

All you're doing it putting two good skills together.

This is combo:
